I love these sets. It's too bad we can't get more decent releases, but at these prices, I'll take what I can get.

I was In a Canadian Wal-Mart today and saw this set for C$4.99 plus tax. If anyone needs this, i'm happy to pick up a spare copy and ship for actual costs (no profit to me).

take care

My copy of this set just arrived and I can confirm that This Man Can't Die is in colour.

Also, for those interested, I have listed the titles below with wide or full screen info next to.

Apache Blood       -       Fullscreen (awful picture)
Between God, the Devil and a Winchester  -  Widescreen
Beyond the Law   -     Widescreen
China 9, Liberty 37  -  Fullscreen
Death Rides a Horse  -  Fullscreen
Fighting Fists of Shanghai Joe  -  Fullscreen (But pretty clear picture)
Find a Place to Die   -   Widescreen
Fistful of Lead      -      Fullscreen (Decent picture quality)
God's Gun       -       Fullscreen
Grand Duel      -      Widescreen
Gunfight at Red Sands  -  Fullscreen (Awful picture)
It Can be Done Amigo   -   Fullscreen
Johnny Yuma      -     Widescreen
Man From Nowhere  -  Widescreen
Minnesota Clay   -   Widescreen
Sundance and the Kid  -  Fullscreen
This Man Can't Die   -   Fullscreen (colour)
Trinity and Sartana  -  Fullscreen
Twice a Judas      -      Fullscreen
White Comanche  -  Fullscreen

Most of these titles have been included in similar sets but I thought that it was interesting that Man From Nowhere, Beyond the Law and Between God, the Devil and a Winchester should all be widescreen prints and all are also put out by Wild East.  As of course are Grand Duel and Johnny Yuma.  Same free source do you think?  Or just plain ripped off?

has anyone bought the vigilante western collection. I seen it at a ride aid near me for 3.99. Has and god said to cane wanted to know if the print of it was any good? It oddly enough has popular titles like Keoma and four of the apocalypse.

Anybody know anything about this?

I have been wondering about this one, too.
They have several copies of it at a local store here in Sierra Vista.
I have a feeling it is just another rip-off; but, I must admit I have been curious.

I'm pretty sure they are bootlegs and ripped off from legit releases but for the price I say its a good deal for newbies to get their hands on. Not sure about if these are public domain or not but most of these films are not readily available in North America.

Some great titles on there.

I now have these sets.  I've only watched a couple of the movies yet, but have glanced at all of them for comparison.  As you'd expect with different sources, the picture & sound quality ranges from OK to bad.  The more essential ones (Sartana, Run Man Run, Keoma, etc.) look the most watchable, but still not up to the standards of a quality DVD release.  Others like Shanghai Joe & White Commanche are fullscreen with feeble picture quality.

As you say, it's a very good deal for noobs (like me) to see a few classics cheaply.  I may later upgrade to better releases of some of these.  I think these sets should be added to the Cheap Box Sets page on the database.

Yup, that's the best thing about these cheap boxsets. You can get a good idea of which ones are worth seeking out and plunking your money down on. Generally even cheaper than renting.

Someone should add all of the above along with the Videoasia Spaghetti western bibles to the cheap box set page.

There's also this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Lee-Van-Cleef-Collection-Vol/dp/B000TGKWZS

And a box set of all three:

http://www.amazon.com/Spaghetti-Western-Collection-Lee-Cleef/dp/B0031Z5RZ4

I just picked up the three pack the other day. The Van Cleef disc is unwatchable but the others are alright for a budget collection certainly well worth the $7 or whatever it cost.

just recieved the sartana box set. for the bad quality i was very happy. it was cheap and i now have 10 more spaghettis i havnt seen yet. i feel for some of the more hardcore collectors who have been misslead.

i would also like to add i thought the artwork was amazing for such a cheap package.

sorry if i'm a year to late with my reply ;)

Anyone know where I can find a good version of "and God said to Cain" and "death rides a horse ".    I've got them on various box sets but their crappy fullscreen versions.  I'd like to see a good WS version.

And God Said to Cain: The best version is the Franco Cleef fandub dvdr. You can email him to order it kingriek@shaw.ca

Deathrides a horse: MGM UK release is the best but its pal region 2. Hopefully you got a region free player if not just watch on the computer.
