The accident occurred at five-thirty in the afternoon, at mile 114.3 of the highway, which corresponds to Fuenmayor, in regard to Logroño. In the State of La Rioja. The native of the town of Bilbao Erandio, was a very familiar face to both Spanish viewers for his roles on the small screen, and his appearance in the Euro-western “Limoncello” (2007) as Jackson.

Many have passed away, and while we are young growing up re-watching all these classics, many more will probably leave us. May they be remembered. Günter Junghans who made more than 130 film and television appearances and had appeared in many character roles for DEFA died after a short illness on Sunday August 10, 2014 in Berlin, Germany. Junghans was born on 14 July 1941 in Leipzig, Germany. Among his most important early work includes the anti-war film "The Adventures of Werner Holt" (1965) and in Rainer Simons of the GDR leadership forbidden cinema drama "Jadup and Boel" (1980), which are discussed the everyday shortcomings of socialism, Junghans appeared with Kurt Bowe and Gudrun Ritter. His only Euro-western was as Heinrich Münchmeyer in the 1992 TV movie “Karl May”.


  • GOLAN, Menahem (Menahem Globus) - 5/31/1929, Tiberias, Palestine - 8/8/2014, Jaffa, Israel

Legendary filmmaker Menahem Golan, co-founder of The Cannon Group production company and Israeli cinema pioneer, has died. He was 85. With cousin and partner Yoram Globus, Golan ran Cannon Films for a decade, releasing more than a dozen films a year in its prime. They bought the ailing company, which was launched in 1967, for $500,000 in 1979 and fueled an appetite for B-films that was created by the invention of the VCR. For a time, Cannon was on the brink of becoming the seventh Hollywood “major” studio. Golan produced more than 200 films including the action hits The Delta Force (1986) starring Chuck Norris and the Death Wish sequels top lined by Charles Bronson. Golan produced the Euo-westerns: God’s Gun and Kid Vengeance both starring Lee Van Cleef.

Yvette Lebon, the oldest of France’s actresses, known for her role in "Marinella" alongside Tino Rossi, has died at the age of 103 in Cannes, France. Yvette Lebon-Wachsberger, the dean of French actors, was born on August 14, 1910 and died last Monday July 28th, said the obituary published in Figaro. Yvette played Señora Martinez y Rayol alongside Sean Flynn in "The Sign of Zorro" 1962.

Natale Tulli, a famous Italian character actor passed away on July 16th after a long illness. He worked with some of Italy’s greatest directors: Federico Fellini, Dino Risi, Luchino Visconti and Sergio Corbucci. His first appearances was in 1961’s Barabbas directed by Richard Fleischer followed by “The Leopard”, “Amarcord” and “Satyricon”. His last appearance was in the 2002 film “Febbre da cavallo - La mandrakata”. Tulli appeared in two Euro-westerns: “Boot Hill” (1969) where he played a miner and with Terence Hill in 1975’s “The Genius”.

  • CSECH, Szobor (Szabolcz, Csech) - 12/11/1942, Miercurea-Civc, Romania - 8/1/2014, Bucharest, Romania

Stuntman and actor Szobor Cseh died this morning August 1, 2014, at age 71 after losing his battle with cancer. In 2012, the famous stuntman learned that he had contracted multiple myeloma, which is a form of bone marrow malignancy. In June of last year, he was admitted to a hospital Stunt Fundeni because of complications of the disease he was suffering. Cseh Szobor collaborated on more than 150 films and TV Feature, including 25 foreign productions and co-productions (Germany, France, USA, etc.), coordinating the action sequences and directing battles and fight scenes, falls, and acting in several memorable film roles. Szobor appeared in two Euro-westerns and one Euro-western TV series: 'The Prophet, the Gold and the Transylvanians" (1978), "The Oil, the Baby and the Transylvanians" (1979) and "The Longstocking Tales' (TV) - 1969.

Prolific TV Producer Robert Halmi Sr. Dies at 90. Robert Halmi Sr., the Hungarian-born producer who battled the Nazi and Soviet occupations in his youth before becoming a top magazine photographer and telepic mogul, died Wednesday of a brain aneurysm at his home in New York City. He was 90. With his son, Robert Halmi Jr., Halmi produced more than 200 TV productions, including hit 1990s miniseries including “Gulliver’s Travels,” “The Odyssey,” “Arabian Nights”, “Dinotopia”, westerns “King of Texas”, “The Colt” and the Euro-SciFi-western “High Plains Invaders” in 2005.
