Maverick and McCloud in a spaghetti western? Why not. Dino de Laurentiis was famous for his off-beat western productions, and this one probably beats them all. Although the director and most actors are American, this film often has the feel and baroque violence of the spaghetti western, notably during the film’s conclusion, set against the background of a religious festival. – Scherpschutter
