The young mining engineer Weedon Scott travels to Alaska, where, like so many others, he hopes to find gold. Having been trained as a brutal instinct animal by his previous owner, the merchant Beauty Smith, Scott does not find it easy to tame. His ultimate success comes when White Fang saves him from grave danger as Smith is after Scott who is interfering with his shady dealings.
