Riz Ortolani born September 4th, 1931 in Pesaro, Italy is an Italien Composer. In the 50s he founded a Jazzband. He wrote his first score in 1962 for the pseudo documentary Mondo Cane directed by Gualtiero Jacopetti. For his song More in this movie he earned a Grammy and also got nominated for an Oskar as Best Song. He composed over 200 films including famous Spaghetti Westerns like Day of Anger or the German movie Old Shatterhand. He is sometimes credited as Roger Higgins, Ritz Ortolani, Oscar Rice or Riziere Ortolani.
