Synopsis

Bill Anderson and his band of ex Confederates are terrorising the town of Springfield and its environs, sucking it dry of any wealth. Local dignitaries call in the Pinkerton agency to help but due to the nature of their agent's modus operandi no one is sure if they are on the case yet or who their man might be. Meanwhile, two lone men arrive in the area and take an interest in the activities of the Anderson gang. One in particular seems to have a past connection with the youngest member of the outfit. The pair team up and Anderson's easy life becomes more difficult.

Comments

A routine but entertaining enough picture. No surprises though. Including the fact that there is no one called Ringo in it and he doesn't ride alone.

by Phil H

Standard western following the For a Few Dollars More formula with more than a few ideas less. The directing is just ok and the screenplay (written by Mario Caiano) offers at least a good role for Piero Lulli.
