The Film

This Italian western, a study of violence and how it impacts and changes its characters, chronicles the exploits of a mild mannered history professor who journeys to the American Southwest for his health. There he becomes fascinated by a ruthless outlaw and becomes entangled in the rough and violent life of the bandit, eventually ascending to the role of leader of the gang.
