  • I watched this Spaghetti Western on the German Koch Media DVD. The quality of this disc is so great. And the movie is great as well. It is not as brilliant as the westerns by Leone, Sollima oder Sergio Corbucci, but it is enjoyable. The two leading actors do an excellent job. The shots of the almost only desert landscape are beautiful and underline the plot, which is not the deepest, but which is ok. This story remembered me a little bit of The Big Gundown. The minus of the flick is the music. It is mediocre and doesn't create any real atmosphere. That's the difference between Morricone scores and most non-Morricone ones... Nevertheless I enjoyed this western. --Lode 17:23, 5 July 2006 (CEST)

  • This rare Spaghetti Western reminded me a little of Butch and Sundance, with a tad of Death Sentence. It suffers from mediocre music and a lame story, but the two leading actors and good photography make up for it. All in all, I'd say Spara Gringo Spara an okay flick but not even close to the great ones, not remotely close. It was nice to see this movie so well restored on DVD though. --Sebastian 22:56, 11 August 2006 (CEST)
