Synopsis

Rudy Wallace arrives home at the family ranch after fifteen years of absence. Only a few weeks ago his father was killed by cattle baron Morrison. Rudy intends to revive the farm but Mark, Morrison’s brutal henchman, and his gang make it clear that big boss Morrison allows no competition. They terrorize the farmers and instruct them not to sell Rudy any cattle. Just when Rudy opposes Mark in a fistfight, Raf, a Sheriff and ex-buddy of Rudy, comes to town to arrest Rudy for a murder commited in another city.

Trivia

Leading man Fred Beir (1927-1980) was an American actor mainly known for supporting roles in American movies and countless TV series such as Bonanza, Perry Mason, The Twilight Zone, Hawaii Five-O, Kung Fu, The Six Million Dollar Man and The Rockford Files. Besides his two Spaghetti Westerns his third film done in Italy as lead actor was the Eurospy flick M.M.M. 83 (1966).

Bad guy Morrison is played by French actor Olivier Mathot, who later became a recognizable silver haired, suave (and rather stiff) regular in many B-movies produced by Paris-based company Eurocine.

Bob Messanger, who plays Morrison's athletic henchman Mark, is really stuntman Roberto Messina. He is also credited for staging the action scenes here.

German distributor Inter added a hilarious moment to their version of this film by having the dub include this dialog between Morrison and one of his men: "And you did not forget to buy lead bullets for three dollars?" "Of course not, boss!".

Three Lead Dollars shares cast, crew and sets with same year's Damned Pistols of Dallas, which it was most likely shot back-to-back with.
