This page is our personal hall of faml'e. A reminder to us all that even though considered a B-genre, Spaghetti Westerns were full of great characters, played by great people. Many have passed away, and while we are young growing up re-watching all these classics, many more will probably leave us. May they be remembered. What follows, is a work-in-progress, a growing list of legends who have passed away...

Athletics champion, Max-Henri Boulois died in Paris, France on July 31, 2023. He was 87. Max started as a journalist in 1961. Born in Martinique in 1936, he worked at L'Aurore, at L'Équipe, then at the ORTF. In the 1970s he lived in Spain. Under the name Max B, he composes and performs songs and acts in some Spanish films. In 1972 he released the single Bananaticoco on the Opalo label, an international hit. Between 1973 and 1979, he released three albums, the first on Opalo, the next two on the Movieplay label. As Max B. he appeared as “The Black Man” in 1980’s “Chicano.”

Italian pop singer Peppino Gagliardi died in Naples, Campania, Italy on August 9, 2023. He was 83. Gagliardi was born in the Naples neighborhood of Vasto on May 25, 1940. His first hit in Italy came in 1963 with "T'amo e t'amerò". In 1970, he had another big hit with the song, Settembre, and more hits followed in the early 1970s. He achieved two-second placings at the Sanremo Music Festival: in 1972 with "Come le viole" and in 1972 with "Come un ragazzino". His music declined in popularity in the 1980s and 1990s. His last entry at the Sanremo Music Festival was "L'alba" in 1993. One of his songs, "Che vuole questa musica stasera", is part of the original soundtrack of “Scent of a Woman” by Dino Risi, “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” by Guy Ritchie and “The Ruthless” by Renato De Maria and “Welcome Home” by George Ratliff. The song was also used in an episode of Season 2 of the Belgian series ‘Professor T.’ Gagliardi sang the main theme song “Ballata per un pistolero” for the 1967 film of the same name starring Antony Ghidra and Angelo Infanti.


  • ROBERTSON, Robbie (Jamie Royal Robertson) - 7/5/1943, Toronto, Ontario, Canada - 8/9/2023, Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.

Robbie Robertson, best known for his work as a member of the Band, died in Los Angeles, California on August 9. 2023, surrounded by family, according to his manager. “In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Six Nations of the Grand River to support the building of their new cultural center.” He was 80.

Robertson was born Jamie Royal Robertson in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on July 5, 1943. He learned music from his mother’s side of the family, who were Mohawk and lived on the Six Nations of the Grand River Reserve. As a teenager, he met the lively Ronnie Hawkins and his group the Hawks on the bar band circuit around Toronto. Robertson took up with the group as a guitarist alongside Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, and Garth Hudson.

The Band had hits with “The Weight,” “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down,” and “Up on Cripple Creek.” Music from Big Pink, 1969’s The Band, and 1970’s Stage Fright were critical and commercial hits, with Robertson taking the bulk of the songwriting credit and thus getting a larger share of the group’s money. As the group grew exhausted of their time together with 1973’s Moondog Matinee and 1975’s Northern Lights – Southern Cross, the Band eventually decided to call it quits.

Robertson maintained a long-term relationship with Scorsese after The Last Waltz, contributing to films like Raging Bull, Casino, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Irishman, and several others. In 2020, Scorsese produced Once Were Brothers, a documentary about the Band based mostly on Robertson’s accounts. Robertson’s final album was 2019’s Sinematic. Scorsese’s new movie Killers of the Flower Moon, due this year, was scored by Robertson.

Robertson scored the 1994, French produced television documentary production “The Native Americans” and was the narrator on the 2018 four-part U.S.A., Canadian, Italian, Mexican, Peruvian documentary TV mini-series “Native America.

RIP Michele Kalamera "I was chosen by Clint Eastwood himself, after he saw my audition for "The Outlaw Josey Wales," it was 1976, he enthusiastically said that he had finally found his Italian voice, and I have never left him since". So said Michele Kalamera, actor and voice actor of long experience who died yesterday, Tuesday 25 July, at the age of 84. Born Michelino Calamera in Conegliano, Venero, Treviso, Italy on February 12, 1939. Michele was won of the premier Italian voice actors and dubbers for Clint Eastwood and many other international stars. During his long career, Kalamera was also the Italian voice for, such actors as Steve Martin, Michael Caine, Robert Duvall, Donald Sutherland, Robert Redford, Roy Schreider, F. Murray Abraham, Christopher Plummer, Burt Reynolds, Christopher Lee, Jack Palance, David Bowie, Ben Kingsley, Max von Sydow and Anthony Hopkins. A total of over 5,000 film and TV stars, 5,000 co-stars, 5,000 key characters in TV series, countless cameos.
